On MAR 27th,Bioscience,Biotechnology, and Biochemistry, a SCI Journal,pubished the research of our company online titled "Inhibitory effects of 3α-hydroxy-lup-20(29)-en-23,28-dioic acid on lipopolysaccharide-induced TNF-α, IL-1β, and the high mobility group box 1 release in macrophages"

In this work, the anti-inflammatory effects of a lupane-type triterpene isolated from leaves of Acanthopanax gracilistylus W.W.Smith, as well as the underlying molecular mechanisms in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced RAW264.7 cells.The results demonstrated that the lupane-type triterpene dose-dependently reduced the production of nitric oxide (NO), significantly suppressed the LPS-induced expression of TNF-α and IL-1β at the mRNA and protein levels in RAW264.7 cells. Further analysis revealed that the lupane-type triterpene could reduce the secretion of High Mobility Group Box 1 (HMGB1). Additionally, it inhibited nuclear translocation of NF-κB p65 in LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 macrophages. In conclusion, this study demonstrates that the lupane-type triterpene exerts anti-inflammatory effects in LPS-stimulated RAW 264.7 macrophages by playing a role in the inhibition of NF-κB, further studies are necessary to determine the precise mechanism of the lupane-type triterpene’s action on NF-κB. These results warrant further studies that would concerning the candidate therapy for diseases such as fulminant hepatitis and rheumatology of lupane-type triterpenoids containing in AGS.
